God's masterpiece,
I will be dwelling on Esther chapter 2 to explain three attributes I discovered that made Esther fit for the palace.
First, along with the other maidens, she was described as a fair young virgin. Looking closely into what those three words mean, Esther was one of the few young ladies who had pleasing appearances, youthful and who kept themselves. In a nutshell, Esther was uncontaminated. She kept her heart, not allowing the ungodly culture of the provinces of Persia and Media to snatch away her heritage as a child of God.
Also, Esther was a girl who put herself under authority. She always followed the instructions of her foster father, Mordecai; the Bible records that she still did even after she had become queen. In the same vein, she humbled herself to take the advice of the eunuch, Hegai, who was in charge of taking care of the young ladies. This man knew the preference of the king and was in a good position to give advice, one that Esther didn't fail to take. Never underestimate the power of right relationships. Hegai and the king (after he saw her) must have thought that, unlikely Vashti, her comeliness and humility would make her be a better example to women in the kingdom.
She required nothing but God's favour.
Most importantly, Esther was in favour with God. Somewhere beside the fifteenth verse of that chapter, in my KJV Bible, I wrote, 'she required nothing but God's favour.' She could have been caught; her identity could have been discovered; she could have been killed but for God's favour. God's favour made her do everything right before the king and his people. She was on an assignment and backed with God's favour.
I believe you gained more insight.
Hope to see you soon. Love and Light!
